The children of Israel were in a difficult place. They were trapped and had nowhere to run. They did what people would do in that situation, they cried out to God. God responded, but in an unexpected way. He told them to go forward. I am sure the response of most, if not all, of the people was, “but there is a sea in front of us.” God told them to go forward. We know the rest of the story, God moves the water of the sea to provide dry ground for them to walk on, and they went forward in deliverance.
Going into 2021 sounds like we are in a similar place to the Israelites at the edge of the Red Sea. We have
2020 behind us; the pain, the loss, the disappointment, the surrender of what was normal. And we have 2021
in front of us; a sea of uncertainty. God is telling us we must move forward. Making a way forward is
God’s business, but it is ours to go.
Let us trust God to part the sea before us. He will move the obstacles and make the path ready for travel. He
will heal behind us, He will go before us, and He will go with us; so let us GO FORWARD!
The Paths @ River's Edge
These three "paths" help to clarify what it looks like to engage in ministry at River's Edge Fellowship. Clarifying these three areas of engagement gives our members, future members, and attenders a better understanding of River’s Edge Fellowship.
At River’s Edge Fellowship the Paths are the entry point for ministry engagement for every stage of a Christian's life in our church fellowship. Each Path outlines expectations, responsibilities, and qualifications relative to that area of church life.
